Finland is a base for global pharmaceutical production, research & development and worldwide clinical trials. In Finland, Bayer employs roughly 1000 people, located in Espoo and Turku. The Turku production facility is part of Bayer's global pharmaceutical manufacturing organization, where we focus on the production and distribution of polymer-based drug delivery systems.
Are you a technically strong project leader with Vision, Architect, Coaching and Catalyst capabilities and mindset who combines clear, structured delivery with thoughtful, people-centered leadership? We are now seeking to our site in Turku an Investment Project Lead to drive capital projects, develop team capability and act as a trusted advisor across our organization. We welcome applicants who bring strong technical know how as well as excellent stakeholder skills, coaching ability and a collaborative mindset.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead end-to-end delivery of investment projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives are met
• Build capability in your team through coaching, knowledge sharing and structured development activities
• Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, bringing practical, compliant and cost-effective solutions
• Coordinate closely with project team members, global stakeholders and external suppliers to secure timely delivery
• Ensure projects meet pharma GMP and regulatory compliance requirements
• Drive continuous improvement, innovative problem solving and stakeholder satisfaction
WHO YOU ARE
• Master’s degree or relevant technical education in process engineering, chemical engineering, food technology, mechanical engineering or equivalent
• 6–9 years’ experience as a project lead in an industrial environment (preferably over 10 Mio€ expenditure)
• Familiar with process engineering deliverables and workflows (PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets)
• Good knowledge of process technologies, production processes and unit operations
• Strong communication skills in Finnish and English, spoken and written.
• Positive, flexible mindset with customer focus, big picture thinking and effective collaboration
• Technical understanding of pharma GMP and compliance requirements are an asset
• PMI or IPMA certification is preferred
• Willingness to travel is required approximately 40 days per year within Europe
