Bayer Norway AS is looking for a motivated and proactive Financial Controller to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who is eager to learn, take ownership, and develop within a dynamic and international environment.
In this role, you will gain hands-on experience across a wide range of finance topics, including accounting, controlling, statutory reporting, tax, and compliance. You will work closely with both local stakeholders and Bayer’s global finance network.
We are a small and agile team where collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement are highly valued. The position is located at our office in Lysaker.
Tasks and responsibilities
Own accurate and timely global and local financial reporting
Support month-end and year-end closing activities
Prepare annual accounts, tax calculations, returns, and audit documentation
Coordinate compliance reporting and public reporting
Act as key interface towards Shared Services
Partner with stakeholders to provide financial insights
Support and improve finance processes and tools
Contribute to projects and system implementations
Drive continuous improvement and digitalization
Collaborate across internal functions
Support the Finance Manager as needed
Who we are looking for
University degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or similar
2–3 years relevant experience (audit experience is an advantage)
Strong understanding of accounting principles
Good Excel and system skills, Maestro experience an advantage
Ability to work independently and take ownership
Structured, detail-oriented mindset
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Comfortable in a dynamic environment
Fluent in English and one Scandinavian language
